While we are talking about voting, let me open your eyes a bit.
The drug war is a zero sum game. Money is poured into the government by the tax payers. We have crowded jails, court fees paid for, border patrols, police, on and on. The people who sell drugs get rich no matter what, and the biggest guys live millionaire lives. Drugs are still widely available, so what is won? What if we invested a lot more money into preventative measures which lead to loss of demand and less money for the drug lords? Doesn’t this make a lot more sense?
